Subject: Full 360 degree view of P51 in Hi Contrast

--- This is really neat to see, but give it a little time to fully download so that you can read the switches and power settings.

The image can be moved with either the arrows at the bottom left of the screen or by clicking the mouse and dragging. It will go side to side, up and down, and circle.

Here's your P51 cockpit in all its 360º glory!

The extremely high contrast was time consuming to tame, and patching in the "down-shot" required a lot of detail work. (By the way, there's a screw missing in the floorboard, did you notice it).

My great regret. Years ago I had a client who had quite a few airplanes, amongst which was a P-51 with a back seat. Flew all of his others, including a Super DC-3, but never took him up on a ride in this wonderful machine.

Thanks for posting this.

$715 for a 20 min ride at Chino ... reservations required. No big thang. They have a P40 and a P38 you can buy a ride in too.

Awesome.

Sent it to my dad who did his training in the T6 which he said was set up to mimic the P51 cockpit, except as a lower powered, 2 seat trainer (that was actually a little tougher to fly!).

He enjoyed the 360* a LOT...

Thanks.
