A friend sent that recently. I didn't realize it was the result of an unplanned encounter with flotsam.

If that is the case, not a STUNT, he is very lucky NOT to have buried a wing or float and ripped one or the other off!!

HA, bet he had wet/dirty pants after that one even if it didn't sink!!

How could anyone have gotten this on film without planning it....or was this one a recreation of the flotsam incident??...or a movie making event of this old historic plane....and they really caught a Boo Boo??!!

Cheers,

Basically a ground loop on water. Sure to ripple a little aluminum along the way. That was an expensive maneuver I would imagine, but the video was entertaining.

Interesting. There can't be many Dorniers flying these days.

Looks like he had full left rudder on, so probably was an intentional spin?

Nice catch! Yeah, I was expecting that slim tail to snap off any second.

I'd bet the pilot didn't own any percentage of the aircraft, and those that did own it didn't approve of that maneuver.

GUYS.......

Seriously, did you not see the title of the video. "Stunt" landing, set up with multiple professional cameras at multiple angles. Of course it was done on purpose and of course the owner knew about it.

Are you guys by chance interested in a bridge or possibly some oceanfront property in Arizona? Roll Eyes
