Ruger and Lipseys have recently produced a limited run of the Ruger 416 guide rifle for the Alaska Professional Hunters Association. They are marked accordingly and a few are still available from Arctic Ammo & Reloading, 4900 Palmer-Wasilla Hwy, Wasilla, AK 99654 907-357-3381 Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship Phil Shoemaker Alaska Master guide FAA Master pilot NRA Benefactor www.grizzlyskinsofalaska.com

Looks like a hell of a practical tool well adapted to Alaskan conditions! There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I agree with the above. That is a lot of fun for the money. I have a .416 Ruger from AHR built on Wayne’s synthetic stock I was thinking about selling. Honestly, a much nicer rifle than the Ruger, but this may have killed my market. :-)
