I have a nice Mannlicher Schonauer 1903 light and fast in a 6,5x54 that wont feed but I have shot it single shot and Its a kick to hunt and shoot with and got me a couple of whitetail, It would make a neat kids or wives deer rifle as is..Make an offer if interested, Can it be fixed ? ask Roger Ferral or some of the great gun smiths on AR, I will continue to shoot it single shot for now, at least..trades considered. I also haVE DIES, LOT 0F NEW BRASS BULLETS and loaded ammo.

I can send pictures to interested parties and as to price who knows but Id as soon trade,,,I know as a parts gun it would be valuable as parts are all but not to be found!

Im open to suggestions? and offers SOLD

I'd be interested to know what it would cost to get it fixed, those rotary magazines can be tricky. I love those little rifles. I had one with a retractable peep sight that replaced the bolt release latch; pretty neat set up. I do have a full stocked one that is scoped out, but one can never have too many of those early Mannlichers.

I have no idea what it would cost, as the two or three gunsmiths I inquired with wanted gun in hand and shipping and Ins would cost $200 from Filer Idaho to wherever! Few smiths are qualified to work on them, but it works fine single loading to the chamber if one is a good shot!! Big Grin

I know you don't do pictures Ray but it would be nice to see what kind of condition it's in and what it actually looks like. A price would be good too.

The gunsmith who has it now doesn't have an opinion about it being fixable?

No. not many do when it comes to these little jewels..Probably the best is our own Roger Ferrel. Dorrellet (SP) can, but Im not interested in shipping to England. I'm ok with it as a single shot if I have too, its fun and Ive shot some deer with it as is but Im culling most of my guns due to my age. Intend to keep one or two and family guns for the kids..and this one if it doesn't move, mostly testing the water..
