Might consider 22LR or 22MAG. Would consider other models just need shorter barrel with threaded muzzle.

I have a Volquartsen SA semi auto .17 WSM. SS Fluted barrel with threaded muzzle break and grey laminated stock. Has one box through the pipe, basically in new condition. Comes in a large Volquartsen plastic case. Two extra magazines. Off memory they made them only for a couple of years. It is a heavy rifle which will help you follow the bullet trace and adjust for impact without a partner spotter. Also can reach quite a bit farther than an HMR. It is part of my late hunting partner’s estate. Helping his widow recoup cash so no trades.If you pm me a cell number I can forward some photos. Volquartsen made two grades this is the higher end version. I have about 2,800 rounds also.
