This is a high-grade custom built on a refined 1903A3 action. Based on the stamp on the barrel the rifle was built in 1966 by PD Cain. PD Cain was a contributor to Gun Digest and known for his lever actions. Based on the workmanship on this rifle, he was a very accomplished general gunsmith, as well. The rifle has a beautiful Mannlicher stock, flawless checkering, a 20-inch Douglas barrel, Timney trigger, a Model 70-style safety, and a Leupold 1.5x5 Vari-X III scope. The trigger guard is engraved and accented in gold. The rifle is chambered in .350 Remington Magnum and the barrel is throated to allow the bullets to be seated out to take advantage of the case’s capacity. A set of RCBS reloading dies, a Lee trim die, 16 rounds of Remington factory ammo, 20 rounds of 225-grain Nosler Ballistic Tip handloaded ammo in new brass and 13 rounds of 225-grain Barnes TSX handloaded ammo in new brass sold as components only, 30 new primed cases, and 7 pieces of once-fired brass come with the rifle. Brass can also easily be formed from shortened 7mm Remington Magnum cases. The rifle will be shipped in a hard case. Asking $1,700 plus shipping and insurance to your FFL.
