I never heard of that rule.

I thought there was a rule against posting links to other for sale sites, but that's a rule about links, not about having your items listed someone else as well as here.

I did not know that was a rule? Apparently apologies are in order since I have been posting links to my website. I thought that was acceptable... mostly because I saw several others doing it.

I thought the restriction was to auction sites. I did post, with permission, the auction site for my father’s collection. I then just posted a link to a fixed price gun I own, but I’m selling through a dealer because I don’t have the time or desire to package and ship. The price is the same to you, but less to me.

I was being a little sarcastic. I like it without rules. I think I’m the reason they made them here!

As I seem to recall back in 06 + thereabouts, that they were asking that you not post ads if you had posted elsewhere. I always adhered to that, as I just thought it was being asked as a common courtesy. I have noticed that it has not been the norm for several years now, + hasn't appeared to be a problem from the administration. Evidently, it's no longer an issue.

They used to be posted at the top of this page.

My understanding was that you could post an item that is posted elsewhere, but you can’t simply paste a link to the outside website. You must provide the information and price here and offer it for sale directly/personally as opposed to driving traffic/sales to another host and simply using this as a platform to spam links.
