Colt Woodsman Target 2nd Generation *SOLD*
Many folks think that these 2nd generation Woodsman pistols are the most desirable. This one was made in 1952. The push-button magazine release is considered an improvement over the earlier bottom latch that was inexplicably revived for the 3rd Generation pistols. Many also consider this 4 1/2" target to be the most practical and packable of the Woodsman Target Pistols.
It has great very visible an easily acquire sights with a square .100" front blade and square notch Colt Ellison rear. This grip angle of this era of Woodsman guns gives the best pointability of all Colt Pistols, almost as if you are pointing your finger. With practice one can shoot well from the hip at short range. The guns are also know to have a very good if not great trigger pull as this one does.
This gun is in great mechanical and functional condition. It has some bluing loss on the barrel and some high edge wear but shoots accurately and function well. It comes with a single 10 round Genuine Colt Magazine.
The grips are original brown plastic with a right-hand thumb rest and feel great in the hand and add to that pointability. This model Woodsman is offered in the $950- $1600 Range. I offer this one at $695.00 + $25 shipping that we all have to pay these days. A nice clean Colt Woodsman.
Payment by Postal Money Order or Cash. Please Post I'll Take it in ad and followup PM right away to confirm. Many thanks.

Nice snag. Those are great little pistols. I had one that I bought from a guy whose dad had bought it new in 1926, still in the original box with a letter from Colt confirming that they had rebuilt it to fire the new 22 LR cartridge. He wanted $800.00 + I never even tried to talk him down, that was a very fair price. You'll love it.

Great pistol. Can't beat wandering the woods with a .22LR...

Enjoy!
