Can I get some Value help please? I’m trying to find out what reasonable prices are in these quickly changing unreasonable times. Looking on the big internet auction and classifieds sights is frustrating because it seems like stuff is so often waaaay overpriced now. Perhaps I am unreasonable, and inflation and the current lack of more traditional sporting rifle production has really made stuff this valuable. The two rifles I’m asking about seem like steals compared to G-broker and G-international prices.

A local shop just took in a couple of consignments:

The first one is a NIB 2010 Rem 700 CDL SF 280 Rem. These have the wood CDL stock with black fore end tip. All stainless barrel and action, with 24” fluted barrel. The shop is asking $1100, and I might can negotiate for less.

#2 is a NIB stainless Win model 70 Alaskan 30-06 (I think one these rebored/chambered to 35 Whelen or 9.3x62 would be the bee’s knees!) Gray laminated stock, all stainless barrel and action. $1349

I think the 280 might be a great deal, but not sure. The ‘06 seems like maybe priced close to marked value, but not sure.

I bought a NIB Rem Model Seven Laminate in 7mm-08 for what I know was a really great price (same consigner). However, I’m stumped on the other two. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for being so wordy. Thank you.

Jump on that 280. It is at least 500 under market and probably would sell on GB for about 2k give or take assuming you have the box and everything.

Turns out this model of of 280 is going for absolutely huge money. Someone apparently saw a past post of mine about a different rifle where I posted a picture from the gun shop where this 280 is at. That picture I posted included a hangtag with a phone number for the shop. Someone called the shop Monday morning when the shop opened and told the owner of the shop that they saw the 280 for sale on the Internet even though it was not on the Internet at all. I guess you can say that I’m just stupid, and I guess that’s fair, all things considered. However, I think it’s pretty dirty and underhanded myself. Oh well, so goes life. I hope whoever scalped me needed the rifle a lot more than me. I was going to let a fellow AR member who PM’d me, buy it anyway.

You must have misread my post, but no problem. No apologies needed just a misunderstanding.

A Remington 700 CDLSF in 280 sold a week or so ago for $2100 on gun broker. It was new in box like the one I was asking about priced at 1100 bucks.
