Bought this on here a while back and after putting 20 rounds of 9,3 x 57 through it have concluded the throat is probably toast. It doesn't want to group, and quickly fouls just ahead of the chamber. Apparently this is an issue with many of these Husqvarna Model 146s, and in many cases lengthening the chamber to 9,3 x 62 fixes it. It could also be rebored and chambered to .375 Whelen. I simply wanted to play around with the shorter 9,3 and have no further interest in the rifle. It is C&R and yours for $400 plus shipping, considerably less than what I have in it.
I like the color and figure in the stock -- and the wrist is sound with none of the cracks often found. The Weaver mounts were good and solid and "on." Of course, the FN-manufactured Model 98 action is smooth and outstanding, as usual. The safety has been converted for use with a scope.

I really like the shape of the bolt handle, it's a nice rifle all the way around.

Bill, they were in great shape. I like the one of mine that I bought. Still haven't had a chance to shoot it, though. Too many folks moving in around my home in the country.

Seems like a nice rifle to be used as a parts gun. What are your plans for it? I find the 9.3x57 to be pretty useful and fun to shoot with 200 grain bullets.

Bust it all down and start over. Like I do everything else; guns, WW2 jeeps, animals, (can't talk about people in open forum) etc.

A rebore to 9.3x62 would clean up the throat I think, and that would be a nicer gun...

Rebore? It is already 9.3.
That barrel will make a good pry bar. Or tent stake.
