Helping my good friend and long-time dealer close out his stock of rifles as he has chosen to retire. He doesn't do internet much, so I'm posting these for him. Will post a number of Sakos as I have time. Send me a PM for more photos and payment/shipping instructions. Shipping is $55 in a hard case. Please mention each rifle as "rifle No. 1", etc.
Rifle No. 8, Husqvarna Imperial, .30-06, SN 299674 Swedish fans take note! This pristine Husqvarna Imperial is as sleek as they come. The action is a Husqvarna-made Mauser (1600 series, I believe). It is in as nice condition as you'll find and topped with Weaver-style bases and rings. If you don't like the rings there are dozens of other rings on the market which fit the bases in every height and diameter you can imagine. The factory three-leaf rear sight offers three different distances if you prefer to use it instead of a scope, or as a back-up. They just don't come any nicer. Tag price $1100, Closeout price $900.

Sorry I can't make any measurements since these are all boxed up and ready to ship. It is a Husqvarna-made Mauser-type action, not certain about the front ring size. It has a long claw extractor and I believe the barrel is either 20 or 21" long. Glad to email the additional photos I have if you'll send me your email address.

I had exactly this model rifle many years ago. It was by far my favorite rifle to carry in the mountains where I mostly hunt. Did many miles with it and shot my biggest elk with it. Unfortunately I sold it due to a divorce and looked for several years for another.
This one looks like the stock has been refinished and recoil pad added which is a good thing. Husqvarna’s in my experience at least need a little extra finish to hold back the rain and snow I subjected my to often.
If I saw this a few years back I would have jumped on it fast. A truly great slick, well made light little rifle.

Not Sako, I mis-typed. Interesting. May have to check into the Tradewinds Husqvarnas a bit more to see if they are marked Tradewinds or just have a different stock or what.

Some really interesting chit chat from 2005. Scroll down a little to a post by grasshopper and read on. Stonecreek. Note the serial number in one of these posts. Post 1971 model.

I saw this rifle in person ~two weeks ago. It is in very nice condition and features a very desirable factory adjustable trigger that was specifically made for this action (they are otherwise unobtanium!). Stonecreek is 100% 'straight arrow'. I also know the store owner who is retiring and will vouch for him too.
