Good eye! Somehow a Lon Paul rifle got snuck in there. The Rigby's oval is indeed engraved.

There appears to be photos of two different rifles.

I have know Lon a long time and visited his shop numerous times. On one visit there were 3 early slant box 350 Rigby rifles on his bench.

One year at SCI Lon brought a copy of a Rigby 416 and I was carrying it to show someone and walked by Paul Roberts. He waved me over and said he could tell me the year my rifle was built. I told him to read the name on the barrel first.
Paul couldn’t believe his eyes and kept looking the rifle over for flaws.
He finally ended up stating “This is what Rigby should be building ,

Shows you how good Lon is... ;-)

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship
