This is a rifle I built for myself to hunt for Elk in the thick timber of Montana. It is short, handy, powerful, and relatively lightweight.
I re-barreled a 7 Rem Mag and chambered it in 375-338 Win Mag. I reshaped the factory stock, added ebony tip and grip cap, front crossbolt, new Decellerator pad, and did a refinish on the wood with new checkering. The iron sights are from NECG and the metal is Cerakoted.
Specs are:
Barrel length 22"
LOP 13"
Weight as pictured 7-3/4 lbs.
It is in very nice shape

Very easy to make brass from 338 Win Mag with the included dies.

Comes with dies and rings. $1500.00 plus shipping to FFL

Outstanding caliber. I carried the same one in Alaska for 20 years and shot my first Grizzly with it. Bang flop, never moved.

Beautiful cerakoted finish. Who did it the work?

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

What a cool rifle and cartridge. What performance have you gotten out of the cartridge? Just below H&H levels? Neat!

Baxter,
It's been so long since I shot it that I don't remember exact velocities. I wasn't pushing it though. My reloads say 69 grains of IMR 4320 with a 260 grain Accubond. It was meant for short ranges in thick cover. It puts the hurt on an Elk.

The barrel is McGowan. The triggers on the tang-safety 77's are fully adjustable which is nice, and something that Ruger should have kept in the 77 MKII. The trigger is crisp but I can't remember what the weight is. I'll check today.

Trigger weight is 3-3/4 lbs. Crisp with no creep. Of course, it is adjustable.

If I had a snowball's chance in Miami of ever getting back to Africa, I'd sell my left kidney and give this rifle a new home. I was toying with doing this exact rifle for just one more trip.
