Exhibition English Walnut. Some minor handling marks on the stock, a stabilized crack behind the tang, and a ding on the quarter rib, otherwise it's in great condition.
Did that come from the Pacific Northwest? Those bases look EXACTLY like the ones Mark Stratton did for two of my model 70s. The rear is even milled for the Talley removable peep.
Very nice. I tend to agree with you on the stock. It certainly seems much nicer than most Dakotas (I know they did offer some very nice upgraded stocks). In the several Dakotas I have seen with a length of pull over 15 inches, they oddly seem not to continue the cheek piece far enough back. This is well done all around.
Thanks guys. I double checked with the client I'm selling this for. It's a Dakota Custom. It was sold to my client by the original owner who special ordered it from Dakota.
