Sam Colt's Model 1860 Army is considered by many to be the most elegant revolver ever designed for its graceful, flowing lines -- and it was the most-used revolver in the Civil War. The fluted model handles a bit more lively than the standard 1860 -- kind of like stepping down from a 4-weight to a 3-weight fly rod.
This is the fluted-cylinder model made early in the model's production, with many going to Sam Colt's friend Ranger Ben McCulloch in Texas just before the North's embargo shut down the trade to the South.
This revolver is in excellent condition, having been fired a few dozen times, with Triple 7 propellant, Speer round balls and with samples of the Eras Gone Bullet Molds Johnston and Dow and the English Kerr conicals.
You can see my initial range report here:

I have too much going on to work with this lovely revolver right now, and would like to find it a loving home.
The revolver comes with a period-correct Slim Jim style holster, most of a box of Speer .454 round balls, and a broad sample -- 20-25 each -- of both the Johnston and Dow and the Kerr conicals.
Asking $300 and $18 shipping.

Funny you should be posting this right now, Bill. I've been having black powder thoughts again lately + have been thinking about half seriously on an Uberti colt Walker. Just what I need, right!

Randy, I have had a Walker or two. They are just so heavy, and there is that darned rammer falling down on each shot thing ...
Still a lot of Texas history with the fluted 1860. Cool

Dang it, Bill, you have tempted me into yet another 1860 Army since I don't have a fluted one yet.

I'll take it, PM on the way.
