SOLD Tackdriver in 6.5 Grendel

Here is a handy little Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Grendel. It is fitted with a Burris 4.5-14 X 42 Fullfield E1 scope in, I believe, Weaver steel rings but could be Leupold. Threaded muzzle, excellent condition. This incredibly pleasant-shooting rifle has given me exceptional accuracy out of the box. Note the 9/16th-inch 100-yard group with the Nosler 120-grain Ballistic Tip over 29 grains of Reloder 15 in Starline brass. If you like match-grade accuracy from a lightweight walking-around hunting rifle that your kids can shoot as well, this would be the one.
Asking $500 and shipping. If you want the Hornady dies, at least 100 rounds of brass, two partial boxes of Nosler 120-grain Ballistic Tips, and a partial box of Sierra 107-grain Matchkings, add $75.

Bill, do you know if they make a flush fit magazine for the predator/grendel?

In Gooogling the question, it appears the 7.62X39 Ranch rifle flush-fit magazines can be made to work. You might want to investigate further.

Bill,
Feel free to PM an answer if you wish. I'm curious about the feeding of the Grendel in the Ruger. I had an American Predator in 223 (used AR magazines) that had feeding problems. Per the internet (must be true, right?) that's not uncommon for those. Given case dimensions on the Grendel, I've wondered if they might be better. I enjoy the caliber and a heavy barrel CZ I own is very accurate, pleasant to shoot, and makes it easy to hit long range gongs.

Jeffrey, I have probably fired 50 rounds through this Grendel, mostly handload workups in 5-shot groups. I can't recall any feeding issues.
The Grendel is a surprising caliber in terms of the things it can do with so little fuss. The scope I mounted turned out to be perfect for precision work.

I have been searching for a flush mag, and have not had much luck. This is a ranch style mag they are useing, not a plastic type used in the other American models?
I would love it, but for that hideous mag right where I want to carry the rifle.

I hope so, as many people who seem to want a shorter mag, I find it strange a company hasnt offered one before now.
So it is an AR style mag well? I may take a run to the gunshop that has one nearby. take a look for myself.

Yes -- AR style. I just popped in the .450 Bushmaster magazine from my AR. Fits great.

This will be my third or fourth over the years. I had one of the .72s as well. There was so much weight in the barrels that shooting a 700-grain Fosbury-type conical was pretty manageable until you approached 150 grains of FFg.
