What are ZG476s worth these days?

Just the action, bottom metal, trigger? no barrel... no stock.

I haven't seen one in some time and am wondering where the market is.

Simpson LTD has complete ZG 47 rifles occasionally for around $1000 depending on caliber.

Not sure these days. Been a few years since I valued those as they rarely show up for sale. $550 for a HUSSAR and $750 for the regular action seemed about right.

I think that you are way low in your estimates.

Simpsons has had quite a few over the last few years, the mundane rifles, typically sell for less than $1000.

I missed a 308 for $600. (maybe that was a 601? I can't remember now)

Anyway, an action to me would be sub $1000. Like anything it depends on how quick you want to sell it. All of their sub $1000 rifles sold quick.

Shrodinger. Really? That's only $200-$250 less than a complete rifle. Anyway, I will go take another look.

As I expected. No recent sales of complete rifles to compare to. Just a couple sales from 2019 that sold for $1050 including one from Canada and a few in mint collector condition that sold in the mid 2000-3000 range. Sorry. No action and bottom metal sales or offerings found.

It seems that a clean 1909 is currently in the $500 range, and a new GMA is in the $3,500 range. I would guess a ZG47 probably sits somewhere in the middle.

Having said that, the former two seem much easier to come by, whereas the ZG47s are rarely encountered.

hummmm.....

Mausers of most flavors seem to sell for half of what they did a few years ago. Especially those intended to be used as the basis to build on. The only real exceptions I see are very rare and desirable variants.

I gave $400 not long ago for a NIB Interarms Mk x FS in 7x57. I'll admit that this was a heck of a deal but not any years ago it would easily have fetched twice that in half teh condiftion.

I didn’t read the entire post and thought the op was talking about a complete rifle.

I bought a good condition action and bottom metal about 3 years ago for $650.

I was refused on a $700 offer for a .30-06 caliber Parker-Hale Hussar rifle, which is another name for a ZG-47, a few years ago.

I was not disappointed.

I would not offer more than $450-500 for the barreled action alone.

But, of course, I might be refused again! Big Grin
