Anyone have a good source for FN made m70 actions?

There is a guy called pre-64 Model 70.com that has those, but I am looking for more modern ones.

Seems like most push feed post 1965's are $800 plus.

And most CRF m70's are $1200 and up.

All dried up; I buy rifles and strip them for actions, but even that is no longer economically feasible. Need luck.

Depends on what you are willing to spend and do.

You can buy a Husky 640 from Simpson for $4-500 and strip it down.

I have one that I intended to do that with, but it shoots too well as is.

Sorry about that. It seems I stopped reading at FN.

I have never seen an FN-made Model 70 action for sale.

One can still buy pre-64s for decent prices.

Pre-64 Model 70 - $850

Pre-64 Model 70 - $900

Not cheap, but not bad considering what you get for your money.

Not sure what the post-64 CRF models are going for these days.

You want to see something really ridiculous look at what left hand Post 64s are selling for.

Two most recent ones I saw on GB were a 375 H&H that went for $3900 and a 270 that went for almost $2700.

Yes, FN made the Winchester Model 70 at their plant in South Carolina. US, not Belgium. After that, like in 2013 or so, they went to Portugal. And made the barrel threads larger and finer.
I don't care where they were made, personally.
And I use mostly post 64 push feed Model 70s for my personal rifles. They feed smoother, and I don't need CRF; I know how to operate a bolt action rifle. That is the only reason CRF was developed. Another story.

CDNN had the actions themselves for sale years ago for really good prices, I think I went through 10-12 of them, all short action though. Midwest gun works for awhile had some actions for sale more recently.
