What are CZ 550 Safaris going for these days? I have one in 458 that I got some time ago and never shot. It has the "Americanized" safety (forward to fire, back for safe). I don't know that I'll ever get back to Africa.

$1,595 + $35 shipping.

NOW $1,495 SHIPPED

Biebs,
I recently sold my CZ550 in 416 Rigby for $1800.00. I would think yours would go for similar money.

You can borrow money, but you can't borrow time. Don't wait, go now.

CZ550 safeties are always forward to fire. I don't know of any with reversed safety. It is not ZKK.

Yes, I guess I was remembering the old BRNO Mausers I had.

Jon…I think those raggedy assed CZ’s are selling for chump change Wink.
I’d be interested when you come up with a price, let me know…

Ha! No Great White Hunter, here! I have 3 Cz's .416 Rigby, .458 Lott and .505 Gibbs, all are really accurate.

Jon, that's a fine rifle. I had a CZ in .416 and one in .458. Sure easier to shoot than Ruger No. 1s in those calibers!

Yes, to me, the CZ 550 is the quintessential big-bore Mauser action safari rifle. And you're right...a Ruger #1 in 458 is a whole 'nuther beast all together...much worse than my 600 Overkill!
