Roebuck222,

I have had quite a bit of success bit i find it depends on the ground. I think you need a good density of Roe and you need a good ratio of bucks to does in particluar.

I have tried the buttalo but never really got on with it...when in my pocket I always managed to squeeze it at the wrong moment...

The call I like the best so far is the little Hubertus Cherry Wood call. I have two, one tuned for a fawn squeak and the other for a doe bleat.

The doe bleat seems to call both bucks and other does in...

As already mentioned, I think its important not to call until you know the rut is on otherwise you just educate the deer. Its easy to over do things especially with the fawn squeak.

I have not found a call I like that does the "terror call" yet..I know you can do it on the buttalo and also on the Richard Prior Reed call, but I am not keen on either..

If anybody knows of a call to make the "Terror Call" prferably one that is fixed like the Hubertus rather than needs "playing" like the open reeded Richard Prior Call, i would be most interested....

Regards,

Pete

Roebuck ive used the Buttalo call most of this years rut and done very well, but ive learned to squeze it more slowly, but the best of all was my home made call which is a nozzel of a mastic gun, and a squecker from a dogs toy, this call blown softly brings buck in good for me and does,
and the home made call worked today for 2 does 11/11/04,
good luck mark
