Hey solvi, real nice pictures and weidmannsheil to your reindeer. a question just because its maybe interesting: is it possible to hunt free range on iceland as a "foreigner". I think that u have to apply for a licence and fullfill the restrictions with the fish and game office. I know that some big travel agency do have hunts on iceland in their offer.... but to be honest i never bookes a trip with an agency and not willing to do so in the future. If u ahve the time to tell me about how hunting on "caribous" and maybe other game work ... ild be glad. You can send me a PM or just e-mail... Thxs in advance Konstantin

Here is a link where you can read the rules, if you are interesting in hunting here in Iceland. http://www.hreindyr.is/english/index.html Everybody has to go with a guide even though you are a guide your self. The price difference between hunting zones is mostly that if the terrain is easy to pass its more expensive and the more difficult zones are cheaper. If you are planning to hunt here in Iceland drop my a line or call my +354 5666575 or +354 8916660 and I will of course help a fellow AR member to arrange the trip and get you a good and reasonable guide for the hunt.
