DEFRA is consulting on the sales of some of the Forestry Comission's land and forestry asset.

Do you have a view or want to know more?

My concern would be that the RSPB or the LACS will buyup these blocks, retain the shooting rights, and then sell them on again.

Effectively ending shooting in the particular forest until the lease reverses at the end of the seventy-five year term.

I would welcome the RSPB buying up some of the forests they are one of the most sensible private owners of land when it comes to deer management.
