Not a hunting issue, but I have great company on the bird feeder these cold winter days.
Great tit, Long-tailed tit, Willow tit, Blue tit, Coal tit, Green finch, Blackbird and woodpecker pays a daily visit, as well as a squirell now and then.
(guess I´m getting addicted to tits Wink )

These guys gonna cost me a bit in sunflower seeds, but they are fun to watch.
The cold weather still hangs on, down between - 15 to -20 degrece centigrade for more than a week now, and that´s a bit as close to the sea as I live.
Fortunately no strong winds, so these are in fact great winter days Smiler

Aprox two feet of snow, and the deer are moving very little.
They stay in the woods saving energy as best as they can.
Yesterday at noon I saw a roe doe and calf crossing a frozen lake just 200 meters from the small communtity where I live.

Arild,

They are great to watch and we used to have some feeders in the garden too, but when a sparrow hawk moved into the area I took them down as she was hunting the feeder and killing birds every day.

they are great pictures you got there.

Arild, I have seen a massive increase in the Blackbird numbers in our garden since the unusual falls of snow in our area, also less fighting amongst the visitors too!, funny how they will adapt to anything reasonably edible put out for them, I set out some oldish cheese, tired cornflakes (crushed) grated & dampened bread, fat from the Christmas goose & pork roasts & a not so attractive cake (to me)! the biggest job now is keeping the dogs from trawling the garden! Steve.
The Blackbird is a great oportunist Smiler

I have not seen any of them at the bird feeder during the fall.
But as soon as the snow and frost came, they were there with the tits and finch competing for seeds and bread crusts.

Nice pictures, Arild!
I love feeding and watching them as well.. I have a bunch right outside my office window as we speak.. They did need some extra care as the temp dropped to -36 degrees celcius the other day.. Smiler
