Hi GeorgeS,

We have Monterialike huntings in France.
9.3 is the most used.9.3x62 or 9.3x74. 375HH is the best.
When I choose a 300 for this kind of hunting, for the 300WM this is Norma Vulkan 180gr,expansive, and makes nice bloodtrails with lot of whacking power. For my 300 Weath Nossler 220 gr. Don't look after accuracy, but after shock, round nose or stubnose are better than spitz. In any case, pick up the heaviest possible and a compromise between penetration and expansion. A swift could be too hard, a silvertip far too soft.

George,

You have got a lot of good answers so far!

I would sum all up by saying:

-Use any reliable quick expanding and the heaviest for the calibre bullet that you can find (dont worry about meat lost!)
