Hi Pete,

I was always under the impression that they cast in the spring and were grown back later towards the end of the summer, so I had a look on a couple of sites. This seems to be the case usually although a bucks first head may last upto 2 years before it is cast.

Apparently though the season is not set in stone, so some bucks may sport heads at the "wrong" time of year.

???

Regards,

Pete
