Calls For Red stags

I posted this a while ago but thought I would ask again seeing as we have quite a few new European members.

I am looking for call to duplicate a Red stags roar during the Rut.

The only commercial call I have seen to date was German and this was basically a 3 section extending funnel-shaped "megaphone" style call. It works by increasing the volume of the "Roar" but that roar is still produced by the stalker himself.

As I am musically challenged to say the least, I want some thing you can just blow sort of like a reed call...Any ideas?

Regards,

Pete

Pete, it is not that long ago there was a decent string about stag calls. Lorenzo started the whole thing. Check out this thread, perhaps the answers in there will do the trick??

Pete,
With a little practice they are very easy to imitate with your hands cupped over your mouth.
Using this method in favourable weather conditions I have called them in from 500y.

Pete,
Re Macclesfield I don't know.
No English Stalking contacts, all North of the border unfortunately.
As for calling I'm no Tom Jones and am surprised I can call them in.
Practice.
