My son and I will be in Munich for three days next week. Plan to visit the fest, eat well, tour Dachau, and visit the mad king's castle. On Saturday, we'll take a train to Berlin and spend four days there. No real schedule yet for Berlin. I'd very much like to hear your suggestions of things we should see in both cities.

In Berlin You must visit Checkpoint Charlie and the museum next to it (how citiziens escaped the DDR system - strange and interesting!)

Watch out for a lot of bullet hits in old buildings - relicts of WW2 ...
