No hunting license yet, I graduate the end of next month.

They have been killing the hell out of them here though.

Nothing big, one weird one. A couple of sixers, but most have been little bucks. Only a couple of hunters I know are able to shoot sixers, most of the revier owners are not letting them shoot them.

I am going to try and go to Hungary or Poland for a week next year for bucks, and do something in Romania or Austria with a late summer chamois and marmot.

East is good as they will let you shoot mature trophies and big ones to boot
Good choice

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

That is exceptional too. They seem to both be above 400 grams.

Here a big buck is 300 grams.

Funny how we get obsessed with measurements
Cm, kg, g ...
Growing up in Eastern Europe, points were the it and mass ( age ), only boars tusks were counted in cm
Anyway, heading over there late August so hopefully I'll bring some luck with me for some roe bucks, maybe some pigs and stags should be hard antlered

Funny, we are headed to the UK to hunt with friends in September. We are booked 5 days in Islay and 5 days in Cambridgeshire. We'll see how it goes.

Mates rate deal, either going to be the best hunt or an absolute drunken shit fest. Either way we'll have a good time I hope.

Noticed this buck last year but dedicated some more attention this year. Willy old bird was keeping himself in a remote part. Took all my knowledge and some luck to get it - 10 outings, saw him 3 times but he always outsmarted me - at the end doe lured him out of his hide...another one I will never forget.

I had to travel to Germany for business. Thanks to some very generous fellow hunters i was able to share camp with them. Olaf showed me several different areas and asked me witch one i wanted to hunt. i selected a small hay field with a stick built tower blind in the back. He said he had been seeing a spike and a another larger buck. I was free to take either. I admit it felt real funny sitting in a deer stand during july. I only had to wait about 1 1/2 hours before a nice Roe stepped out in the far corner. The old .308 i was using spoke and i had my first Roe deer.

The rifle belonged to Olafs father. I believe he said it was 48 years old. It is a KRICO 600 in .308 WIN. Olaf shortened the barrel extended the stock and put in a custom trigger.

I took a stand a couple of more times looking for a wild boar. It was not to be.
