Unlike many others, I truly admire you for doing it, and I'm glad you're still in one piece. However, I would have simply said "the tan ball cap". My Texas brothers will have a field day.

The "Fiesta Nacional" and the corresponding "encierros" are beautiful traditions, very worthy to be preserved for future generations.

I did it in 1995 and had a great 3 days of continual partying.

Slept in a Toyota Landcruiser Amazon with 3 other school mates, parked somewhere near the center of Pamplona due to the fact the trip was spontaneous and all accommodation was choca block.

At 50 years of age it might not have been the brightest thing to do, but I hadn't done anything exciting in a few years. I am amazed at how a generous dose of adrenaline will clear you mind and improve your outlook on life. This was a vacation/graduation present with my youngest daughter and trip we both needed. I had no idea she was so worried about me until the run was over and she ran up and hugged me like never before. Sh expressed how relieved she was I survived. I calculated the odds to be about 1 in 3000 in getting bashed as the later number is the estimated number of runners each day. That evening we watched these same bulls have a go at matadors. The bulls got them 3 minor times out of six, but ultimately lost the match.
