Hi guys, quick question:

What do you do if you bring a few boxes of expanding bullets ("heads") in the UK from the US? Note it on the FAC yourself? Not bother?

Thanks
G

Have a look at www.Egun.de. You will be pleasantly suprised at the cost of heads there.
Far cheaper than what it costs in shops in the UK.
Also less grief with Customs duty and Vat.
I realise that does not really answer your question however!

Hey Boggy,

As I understand it, you can add the heads to your own FAC and arrive in the UK with them provided the numbers do not exceed the allowed maximums stated on the certificate. Not sure you need to declare them at customs.

I've already got the heads in the UK - well within my purchase/hold limits. Just wondering how to document it to show I've been regularly using the different calibers on my ticket.

Normally expanding heads are not registered on your ticket, but your FAC is checked to ensure that you are allowed them, and the quantity that can be purchased. Normally when I renew I put a covering letter explaining the lack of entries in the ammunition table as a result that I home load to save money and shoot all calibres on a regular basis etc.
