I was in Norway a couple of weeks ago and hunted seals, you know the predator that eat fish. Had a great time and shot a few. For pictures of this unusual kind of game (for most of you i guess) please look at: http://www.seljakt.net/ if you want to see pics click on the text that say gallerier to the right.

They seem to have their fair share of cormorants that far north also. Out of curiosity, how do you cook seal ?

Of course there are several ways to cook seal and I am not an expert in any way. But here's what we did. What we did was that we cut out the fillets (tenderloins i guess?) and cooked in a pan with some spices. I did a pretty poor job and did not really like it. The meat has a very special taste as you can imagine and i'd place it somewhere between liver and fish...strange.. i know. I am sure (know) that a proper chef could get a good result and many people like the meat. But as you know when in the field you can't really expect to get a royal meal.
