Hunting seals in Norway

I was in Norway a couple of weeks ago and hunted seals, you know the predator that eat fish.

Had a great time and shot a few. For pictures
of this unusual kind of game (for most of you i guess) please look at:

They seem to have their fair share of cormorants that far north also.
Out of curiosity, how do you cook seal ?

Of course there are several ways to cook seal
and I am not an expert in any way. But here's what we did.

What we did was that we cut out the fillets (tenderloins i guess?) and cooked in a pan with some spices.

I did a pretty poor job and did not really like it. The meat has a very special taste as you
can imagine and i'd place it somewhere between
liver and fish...strange.. i know.

I am sure (know) that a proper chef could get a good result and many people like the meat.

But as you know when in the field you can't really expect to get a royal meal.

Ummm... between liver and fish ? I tried whale meat last year,that was truly excellent
