Well finaly got around to loading up the Sierra gameking 150gr spbt, pushed along by 41.5gr N150 at a measured 2577fps (moly coated, thanks Gerry!)
Group was just over 0.5" off bench at 100m.

In my quest for low meat damage on roe will hopefully get a go with these next week...anybody got any constructive comments on this set up, or any experiences of these bullets?

Will keep you posted...NW

Richard,

Fantasitc groups with your 7-08!

I'm pleased you're happy with the Moly Bowl!

We're off the the lease tomorrow morning (very early, we've got guests over tonight - bad planning on Mrs. Gerry's part; I'll have to stay away from the wine!) for our Roe Buck season opener. The anticipation is building! Everything packed and ready to go - the Blaser K95 in 7X57R with the Barnes 120 gr. TSX's!

Good luck with your Sierra's and keep us posted on the results!

Cheers,

Number 10

Well what a week!
Very little deer movement, big boys showed but not for long enough for a chance! The clients just wanted good bucks, watched an old buck, 3 pointer going back very heavy, for a couple of hours one night laid up in a rape field, client wanted to wait for a 6 pointer. Did manage to get within 30 yds of him with client taking pictures all the time (wished I had my camera with me!) He was very happy, as was the old buck I expect!! The client in question has pulled the trigger all over the world so wasn't chewing at the bit for a shot. (really nice to see a sportsman knowing what he was after)
Up shot of this was that I still don't know what the bullets are like on meat!
