Would any of you guys know of a UK source for new or once fired 6.5x57 brass; standard version and not the rimmed variety. Or, if any of our European members have a source I'll happily pay for the extra P&P.
Rgds .... Alan

Thanks DUK, my lack of German makes life difficult but the second lot look promising as they are not rimmed. I take it eGun is a German version of eBay but without the anti-shooting ethos. If I can't find them closer to home eGun would seem the way to go.

Go to

http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=johannsen+wiederlad...G=Google-Suche&meta=

Then at the bottom

"Hier geht's zum Katalog 19"

Then

"Gesamtkatalog als PDF"

On Page 106 you will find what you want.

The Geman word for "brass" is Hülsen.

Try reloading solutions, they had 7x57R brass in stock when I phoned this morning, which is at least as unusual a request!

Added to which, could 7x57 brass be necked down? There's not much in it, after all...

Yes, and apparently with a higher degree of ethics, it seems. If you buy from a seller with a good reputation the risk is very small, most Germans speak at least a little English. You can contact them before buying. I was never dissapointed.

Thanks guys ... Just spoke to a delightful female in Reloading Solutions and got their last bag of 6.5x57 to start me off.

I'm also just out of hospital after having two toes shortened and pinned courtesy of having to kick a shooting-party member out of bed some years ago. Looking forward to Arran in eight week's time so no jokes about the limpy Irish git from any of you happy folk attending week 3 ... Smiler
