Hi all,

I'm off upt to Scotland next month for some shooting, and will need a gun shop in Invernees to buy some shells from. I'm taking my rifle ammo with me but will need a lot of shotgun shells which I don't want to take up on the plane due to the weight.

Thanks in advance,

FB

There's a gun shop in "The walking street" of Inverness; I went there a few years ago while we were stalking near Kingussie:
Ormiston & Co
20 Market Brae
Inverness
Inverness-shire IV2 3AB
Tel: (01463) 222757 or 232104
Fax: (01463) 225182
Inverness.

Thanks Dirk,

That will be handy to save me carrying shells up with me.

Die Ou Jagter.... I'm actually flying into Inverness, but shooting up on the north coast about 15 miles west of Thurso.

Already getting excited and it's still 5 weeks away!!!

In Tain, near Inverness, you may pay a visit to Mac Leod and sons, and even have a look at it right now: http://www.rmacleod.co.uk/company_details.htm

Fallow Buck,

Do not go to Ormiston's you will be dissapointed, they closed a couple of years ago. Grahams is the shop in Inverness, 37-39 Castle street, you can't miss it, it is off of the main street Dixon's the electrical outlet is on the corner. It is about 50 yards past them, it has a Barbour advertising sign outside.

Hope this helps

John

Fallow Buck, I just re-read your post, as you are travelling North to Caithness it will be easier for you to call in at Macleods in Tain, it is hardly any distance off the the main A9 and has a good car park, there is not one at Grahams. So, go to Tain it will be quicker and you do not have to carry heavy shotgun shells.

John

It was a nice shop to spend some time in!

Good hunting,
