Look up James Ellis. Stay at Elderton Lodge at the Gunton Deer park. CWD and Muntjac are but a short drive away. I was there in 2002. Got a monster CWD but no muntjac. Will J. Parks, III

I have very good memories from the Woodstock (near Oxford) area. Plentiful Muntjac all over the place and the 1st buck I shot happened to be C.I.C. siver. André DRSS --------- 3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact. 5 shots are a group.

Give the following outfitters a call. www.muntjacstalker.com Jason and Mike have plenty of medal class muntjac and CWD within easy reach of london, oxford and cambridge. Or there is excellent accomadation close by.

Mario, This is something that I can arrange in the Oxfordshire / Bedfordshire Area. However if you wish to go to Norfolk on a more remote trip then I can certainly vouch for James Ellis like others. He has some fantastic stalking areas, and is a true gent you will do well there. If you want good accommodation and food look no further than the Gunton Arms, this is situated in a deer park that James runs. http://www.theguntonarms.co.uk/ Homepage says it all and the food is very good experienced by myself the other day. Contact for more details. Regards Alex Alex Nielsen

The gunton arms looks very nice. But if possible I'm looking a free range area easy to reach from London or other int. airport. mario

If it were me I would look at where the UK based hunters tend to go when they want to shoot one. That being the case muntjacstalker.com seems to be highly recommended by everyone who goes with them. There is a large thread on stalking directory praising them. They also have trophy fees that are reasonable. You are also close to both Cambridge, London and Oxford.

MArio Jason and Mikes stalking area is very well served by a number of international airports. London Luton being the closest. Less than 15 minutes by car. London Stanstead, Birmingham, and East Midlands are all just an 1 hour journey away. The local accommadation is excellent also.

James Ellis's is a must all is CWD and Muntjack is free range. He has regularly takes exceptional trophies of both species. If you would like to have your trip managed from arrival in the UK you should contact Shavesgreen Safaris they regularly take clients to James and might even be able to tempt you with some other UK species.

As are all deer stalked by Muntjacstalker. I believe the only place where you'll find both muntjac and CWD in a park environment is with Callum at Woburn.

Driving close to the areas where Muntjacstalker hunts most days I would say you would have a very fun hunt there. Luton airport is very close. I suspect if you wanted to keep your wife happy then they would love being close to London, Cambridge or Oxford. When friends from Spain come and hunt with me their wives love shopping and staying in Cambridge. A university town with a lot of history.

PM Fallowbuck on here. He organised the last few AR shoots that included Munties and AR members keep coming back to do it again and will vouch for him. Also IanF, another AR regular has a good reputation here too. Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened. No catering at that Travel Lodge any more Dave. The Little Chef has been closed for over 2 years. I suppose you could always walk down the motorway to the services...... As for the on site accomadation.

Would recommend James Ellis. He is a very experienced PH who has been doing it for all his life. Great food and accom at Gunton Arms within the fences of the large deer park he looks after. His CWD/Munt are 100% free range. Muntjacstalker.com is also being spoke of highly. His prices are very competitive and easy to get to from local airports. Kevin Downer from Sussex, who espically in the USA, is probably the most popular PH in the UK, has access to great hunting all over UK. There are 3 choices- if you need any contact details of the above they are easy to find or drop me a PM and I'll give them to you.

I think thats because he spend a considerable amount of time and money marketing himself over the otherside of the pond. Which has certainly repaided the investment.
