Hi Ian

Sorry for the late anser, I have been a bit buzy getting down to hungary abd starting school again.

I think you are in good hands, my only adwise would be to keep yours eyes on the dog, walk quietly and slowly.

My english setter never really was a good forest dog, his search was way to large. Hunting capercalie with a good dog is great, but it is a bit different from hunting grouse with dogs, the birds usually do not set for long, they often run, or pulls all sorts of tricks on you.

My personal favorite way of hunting is alone with no dog. Great bird, give us a raport when you get back.

Johan

Your hunting territory is very beautiful! Norway is a wonderful country with great people. Many years ago I travelled all over from Oslo to Tromso, including a visit to relatives in Garthus... a very small mountian town.

Good luck on your studies!
