HP, Emil Kerner - the name rings a bell but I'm drawing a blank at the moment. Web Site? Nickel Optik - now there's a name you don't hear too often. In at least one independant German study (years ago) they were suggested as being the best riflescope available. I had one of their (monster, a 3-12x56 w/German #1 recticle) scopes on a Sauer 80 that has since been sold and yes, it was very good. Cheers, Number 10

HP, Had to do a little searching myself.... For additional info, solid web site, they sell direct so no middleman which makes their prices attractive IMO. http://www.gerhardt-optik.de http://www.nickel-ag.com Nickel AG Bahnhofstrasse 35 34311 Naumberg Germany Cheers, Number 10

Thanks Gerry. I have Nickel's website already bookmarked in my favorites. I really needed confirmation of their quality, which you have provided. Still looking for info on E. Kerner. I have the opportunity to purchase a Mauser 98 sporter made by him at a good price.

HP, Sounds like a find, most of the custom Buchsenmacher '98's rifles are good rifles. Can't dind much on Emil Kerner though. Cheers, Number 10
