Just had the new restrictions on the open general licence pointed out to me by a mate...

Any thoughts about the effect they will have? Personally I see it as another step towards destroying our sport, and DEFRA (I Think) hhas said that "Sport Shooting" will not be deemed to be a suitable reason for killing any f the species on the general licence.

BASC apparently don't think it is important, but I see it as the thin edge of the wedge...

Any shooter that votes Labour in this coming election may as well sell their guns whhile there is still a market for them....

Noted that Canada Goose now figure on the list - provided that when asked you are involved in 'pest control under the terms of the general license'!

Voting? Well, the Conservatives took the pistols from thousands of law abiding shooters. Options are getting limited.

Personally, I trust no party in power not to turn on a minority - if the spin doctors say it could capture a vote or two.

Sad - but I really believe that a policitian's ONLY real interest is in maintaining his job - not in the welfare of the people. Frowner
