A friend of mine were actually out moose hunting this morning when this stag came a bit too close Smiler He had a camera mounted to his rifle...2'nd shot was lethal and the third shot was just to be sure!

I wasn't there so I can't judge from the clip whether the fist shot was deadly or not, but better to be safe than sorry Wink

All three shots justified in my book. tu2 No need to risk it suffering longer than necessary.

Agreed.

It might have taken another minute or 5 for it to die properly.

Sometimes those second shots at standing wounded game are the hardest.

On the deer coming towards the hunter, the deer looked like he was running from something and then got a real fright when he saw the hunter as he veered and jumped at the same time.

Weidmansheil..... Eeker

I expected he needed a tot of Brandy, or that death-water stuff, after that.

Good shooting!

A
