Daniel,
TOG info is VERY interesting. I'm a fan of Brenneke bullet, I tested Tig, Tug, H-Mantel, Ks and DK bullet and I always been satisfied.
I'll look for them as soon as I'll have news about distribution.
Bye

Mausers new M98 Magnum (.375 H&H - .500 Jeffery)and M98 standard (.22-250 - 9,3x64) rifle. Blaser build this new and very nice rifles with new made Mauser 98 double square bridge actions, normal and Magnum lengh. The only handycap is the price. The Magnum beginns at 7800.- Euro and the standard at 6000.- Euro. This is too expensive. [Eek!]
Heym made a magnum rifle with the own magnum action. Its named "Light Express".The barrel and stock is lighter than the big Express rifle build for cardridges up to .600NE. Price beginns at 3900.- Euro.(.300WinMag - .416RemMag)

Quattro77,
I absolutely agree with you about Mauser, and to be honest two years ago, the last time that I went to IWA I wasn't enthusiast of the production. Abou Heymrifle, is it done on the straight pull action?
bye

The TOG is decent, but in no way exciting. What *is* most interesting is the new Russian self-loader in 8x68 (the other one in 9,3 x 64 is already well-known).

Oh yes: the shortest mini-skirt (black leather) could be seen on the Ukrainian ammo booth of Taxo.

I agree, that's imply WAAAAAYYYY too much money. For that price, it damn better be to the standards of the best American custom rifles, such as those built by D'Arcy Echols on Model 70 actions.

Steve,
the Heym rifle is not a straight pull , its a modified mauser-typ magnum bolt action with controlled round feed extractor.

Thank you quattro77,
I've memory of a straight pull rifle made by Heym also for African calibers. It was brilliant, simple and strong. Six or eigth steel spheres that exit from bolt making the lock.
Maybe I'm wrong

Dear Steve, yes, the Heym SR 30 is a *real* gun, not an amalgam of sheet metal, plastic and marketing [Big Grin] . It is indeed worth its money.

Apart from the ubiquitous 9,3 x 62, it is offered in the following "bigbore" (hah - German hunters' understanding of the word) cartridges:
8x68S, 7mm Rem.Mag., .300 Win.Mag., .338 Win.Mag.

Best regards and good wishes
in these evil times of ours,

Carcano

I`d say the beautiful lady at the Krieghoff booth was breathtaking .......I walked by a dozen times and finally my friend dragged me away from it !
Honestly , depending on your definition : what got my attention most was .500 Smith and Wesson revolver!
