Anyone have any experience with a Krieghoff Hubertus?

I found a decent deal on one in 243, and was thinking it would be worth a look.

The biggest downside is it is prohibiably expensive compared to a K95 or Merkel kiplauf.

The scope mount is $12000, the extra barrels are $3500.

Not sure how much difference in quality there was.

My guess is that it doesn't shoot much better than a K95 but then, it's a very pretty rifle, isn't it?

If you shop for the best bang for the buck, most old Mausers shoot well enough for most hunters. Similar rules apply to cars, don't they?

I'd rather drive a $5000 car and own a $25,000 rifle than the reverse.

When you look at the feedback on K95 accuracy I would think you would be taking a risk of getting a less accurate rifle...... You are also stuck with heavily germanic styling (not necessarily a problem)

Rediscovering my K95 - it truly is an amazing tool.

I have a k95, I am probably going to end up with another one. The Krieghoff is a lot of money, and I am not sure the cost is worth it.
