Whilst on my rounds today I found a rather nice cast Fallow antler.

It reminded me of when I was a lad and we use to wander about the woods and field looking for them to add to our collections. Despite finding a good number I have never been lucky enough to stumble upon a pair. I don't think any of us did.

Who else use to spend time looking and did you ever manage to find a pair? Doesn't matter what species.

My dog's a bugger for coming home with a pair of antlers...

Ah! David Whats that saying about he who laughs last.

I grew up on a large shooting estate. Most of my friends come off the same estate or the ajoining estates and farms. If they didn't they were related to those that owned them or worked on them. I think we had free reign over more than 20,000 acres between us. We had no need to go poaching or thieving. It didn't stop us getting into trouble though. Those were the days when punishment for our misdomeanours came fast and painfully. Haha!

Is "Jools" (??????) having an identity crissis or something??? How come sometimes it comes up as "Jools" and other times as Jolouburn???????

Then there is the "When I was A lad", were you a lad or a lassie, and I don't mean a dog.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

Any real collection would be your "collection" by country miles.

Or have you been drinking dregs again with your mates? Big Grin

Give a baffoon enough rope and eventually they will hang themselves.
