Just got back from a weekend near Sevilla, Spain, shooting Monteria @ Las Jarillas.

Unfortunately, there won't be pictures, as my camera completely crapped out... Anyway, the weather was aweful.

But, the shooting was pretty good! We've been shooting the same place for ~12 years now, but the format was always Saturday: red stags, Sunday: stags + wildboar. This year, we decided to mix it up and focus 100% on wildboar, which wasn't a great call, but it worked. 15 hunters shot 127 wildboar, including ~15 really good old boars. I shot 1 the first day (bad luck on the draw), but cleaned up on Sunday with 14 boars, 2 hinds (extras at the request of the owner) and a fox. Lots of fun.

Pictures next year!

Shame that you lost the pics. Sounds like a great hunt, 14boars on 1 day is unusual Big Grin . I guess the area is fenced, right?

14 for 1 stand is not that unusual... yes, its fenced (9K hectares), I don't mind when its that big.

Like everywhere the costs of Monteria vary greatly, especially depending on trophy qualities and the "bag". I was lucku as second day, after crap 1st, it went to unlimitedSmiler

But, in years past, we paid ~6k for 3 very big red stags +3/5 wild boar, all in. This year, with just boars, as i was invited, dont know what the bill was. Sorry.
