Beceite is the biggest, Ronda is the smallest. If your going to spend $10k US to shoot one don't unless you already have one from Mongolia or Kazakstan. Asian ibex put ours to shame. That and you can fly to Mongolia and shoot 4 ibex from two different sub species(gobi and altai) and 4 gazelles (2 each blacktailed and whitetailed)for the same as the price of one Spanish wild goat.

Oh, and they are not true ibex, just like the Sind, and Bezoar or Persian ibex aren't either.

If you don't like that idea Ronda is the cheapest and Beceite the most expensive. The other two are the same.

It pretty much depends on what you understand by "the best".

If someone wanted to try for the new world record I would take him, or her, to Riaño in the province of León.

If someone was looking to stalk an ibex for the least money possible, I would say Sierra Nevada.

For something original I would suggest the very peculiar subspecies of Tejeda and Almijara.

If you are looking for the most traditional stalk possible, the "mecca" of ibex hunting, then it would be Gredos.

If you like lower, more mediterranean hills, Tortosa and Beceite would be my choice.

You see... it all depends on what you want.

regards,

montero
