There is a very big variation in body weight of the Reds over here. The weights Griff quotes are not guesses either, but weighed on proper scales back at the larder...Imagine what some of those animals weighed before the start of the rut...

Once you get into main land Europe, I suspect the average weights of their woodland Red are even higher,
