Fritz Kraut,
A friend on these forums from your country whom I cause to have sleepless nights with pictures of Mausers sent me to this thread to give me a hard time as he knows how I drool over Mannlichers.
Beautiful rifle! You are a lucky man.
Good hunting!

The 8x60S "Magnum" is a good compromise between the 8x57IS and the 8x64S Brenneke. Fritz

Please let me know if the MAS action is strong enough for the 10.75x86. Has this been done?

Not strong enough for a 10,75x86, but indeed for the 10,75x68. Yes, it was a factory offering. Edmond could tell you more about these rifles - he is still searching for one, as well :-).

I am on the trail of one now. Maybe together with its smaller sister, the 7x54 MAS - then the civilian MAS family would finally be complete !
