AnotherAZWriterComing to France in July - any hunting available?
Ms AZwriter wants to visit a friend this July and watch the Tour De France. She wants me to come. Any hunting available at that time?
Would appreciate any info. Thanks.

mhoThere is hunting in many (most) European countries in July (Tour De France runs from 02 - 24 July this year). Roe buck and wild boar (in some countries only piglets and yearlings) will be open in most of Continental Europe, including France. The UK will also have hunting - likely mostly for roe, but I'll let our UK members fill us in here.
What will likely be the case in most locations, is that early - mid-July is a pretty slow period when it comes to hunting. This is one of, if not the warmest period of the year, and animal activity in shooting light will be slow. Not impossible, but certainly not the best time of year.
Roe deer rut starts early August - exact dates vary, but figure 7-10th of August. Activity picks up then.
