Go to Loch Rannoch and hunt with George MacDonald. Good hunting in the hills, very inexpensive as long as you stay in a local hotel; they have a lot more character than a Holiday Inn. Sipping scotch by the fire after a day of stalking red stag...getting ready for a dinner of salmon or red deer - geez, hunting's best kept secret. Book now, because those are prime dates. Might already be too late. You should rent a car. You can drive to Loch Rannoch is a few hours if I remember correctly.

Deerdogs, I happen to know a (one eyed...) Major Ramsay. Are we talking about the same gentleman ? I stalked Reds in Blair Atholl 5-6 times. Great place, deer all over the place but quite expensive.

I have heard stag are expensive, but I only paid $400 us per day, with one stag per day. If you want to shoot two, then it is double. NY Hunter: You can book with an agent; Hendry Ramsey is good, but they add their fee on to the estate's fee, so unlike the US, it is more expensive to book with them.
