I'll be through Shannon next week for about 18 hours. We get in really late, but i'd like a chance to hit a newstand and pick up some British or Irish hunting magazines.

Any idea if the airport has a big newstand?

Any idea of one in the airport area, we are staying at a airport hotel?

Never flown out of Shannon but use Dublin often enough.Never really a good selection unfortunately, maybe only 1 or 2.
Console yourself with a bottle of Crested Ten or Jamesons Redbreast and several pints of Guinness !

The WH Smiths airside at Heathrow & Gatwick don't seem to stock any shooting mags at all. Maybe the sight of someone reading them would freak out the travelling public?
I did get a copy of The Field once but that's as good as it gets.

Will you be travelling on to London? I might have some back issues of UK magazines that you can have if you are interested and we can work out our schedules to coincide?

Ireland will have lots of fishing journals but there are not that many shooting publications in the republic IIRC. Some of the local lads should be able to confirm or refute that though.

I ended up staying at the airport and we hired a cabby to drive us into Limerick and drop us off. I found a newsstand and made it work. Got 7 or 8 of the British shooting magazines including the Field, Shooting Times and so on.

Thanks to all for the tips.
