Another academic question from someone who can't own one of these because of the laws in India - I just saw this site http://www.hjorth.fi/Lynx/XUK_lynxmodels.htm and wonder if anyone here has had any experience with these rifles. Thanbks and good hunting!

Heritage Arms, Thanks - yes, it does look like a Schmidt Rubin. JOHAN, Thanks for replying. What I was interested in was just an overview of this rifle - I guess the weight must be because the site says that they use the same barrelled action for both their target and hunting models. Your experience with it's good accuracy probably must be because of it's target-shooting raison d'etre. Wonder how muct it costs, how popular it is etc? Thanks and good hunting!

mehulkamdar the rifle has been varying in price in Sweden depending on who have imported them. I guess price is around 1400-2000 The rifle was very accurate, but nothing more than any other target rifle like sauer 200 targer modell. I guess the weight is a fact to make it easier to shoot than carry. I habe seen one rifle in Sweden and that's it. I have never seen it at a gunshop or heard much talk about it. Cheers / JOHAN

Lynx is made by orders, so it isn't very common in Gunshops. Not even here in Finland. There is also Lynx model 93. That is bolt action with three lugs. Lynx 94 Hunter is also available in calibre 9,3x62.
